Nuremberg is famous for its castle and especially for its Christmas Market (Christkindlesmarkt) in the Advent season. The zoo (Tiergarten) is also worth a visit. Plan time for a visit, you´ll be glad you did.
Franconian Wine Region
The idyllic vineyards in the villages of Sommerach, Nordheim or Volkach invite you for hiking and recreation!
Cycling
Former railway tracks converted into bicycle paths run along some of the most scenic landscapes in the area. Ride along rivers and through valleys such as the Bibert, Altmühl and the so-called Markgrafenweg
Summer Tobogganing
Either "Devils-Cave" (Teufelshöhle) or the summer tobogganing track in Pottenstein - not just children enjoy it!
